The gold-and-white decor glows with light from large windows, a partial glass atrium, and many small ceiling lamps whose wavy shades suggest falling sheets of paper. Fran O’Brien’s - Down a flight of stairs from the lobby level, this sports bar and steakhouse offers a relaxed, slightly old-fashioned atmosphere for lunch or dinner. Founded by a former Washington Redskins player and now operated by his son, the establishment displays an extensive collection of vintage Redskins photographs and signed testimonials on the walls. Several televisions show sporting events.
Lobby bar – Even though it’s open to the lobby, this lounge maintains a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Photographs of literary figures such as Gore Vidal and W.H. Auden gaze down on patrons enjoying a cocktail or light meal on low-slung, Art-Deco-style furniture.
