Sofitel Water Tower Hotel - Property information

What to expect: This hotel, designed by an award-winning French architect, is visually stunning. In the two-story atrium lobby, business and leisure travelers sit on low, copper-colored, chenille couches near vases filled with fresh flowers and peacock feathers. Illuminated glass blocks embedded in the slate floor change colors, and guests often pose for photographs on the grand staircase of opaque glass. Optic fibers in the walls bordering the stairs from the lobby to the second level create a starry backdrop at night.
  • Amenity highlights: The 24-hour health club contains treadmills, stationary bicycles, free weights, and weight-training machines. Laptop-size safes are provided in the guestrooms, and bathrooms are stocked with candles, perfumed French body products, robes, and slippers. A lighted makeup mirror provides extra convenience. Pets are pampered with treats and chrome-plated bowls.

Sofitel Water Tower Hotel - Dining information

  • Café Des Architectes - The hotel's primary restaurant, this stylish, French-inspired establishment is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During the day, light streams in through angled windows facing the front patio. The bar contains white-leather and chrome barstools, and the dining room contains opaque glass tables paired with black-leather or cherry-red cloth chairs. Menus are written in French and English, and offer items such as eggs Benedict, poached eggs, and Maryland crab cakes. Lunch entrées include sandwiches and heartier fare, while dinner entrées include roasted pork tenderloin, cheese gnocchi, and filet of beef.
  • Le Bar - This swanky club is hopping with guests and locals for after-work drinks during the week and late-night drinks on weekends. Appetizers are available, along with an extensive wine and champagne list, and shaken-at-the-table martinis. When the black-fabric armchairs and the bar seats are all taken in the candle-lit lounge, the small library at the entrance to the club gets filled as well. In the winter, a fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere. Le Bar is open every night beginning in the afternoon.
