The spacious, domed lobby creates an impressive entrance, with rich, inlaid woods and polished marble.   • Amenity highlights: The hotel's full-service health club provides guests with grand views of the Chicago River as they exercise on state-of-the-art equipment.   • Shula’s Steak House - Former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula owns this upscale, clubby steakhouse starring music by Sinatra and prime cuts of Angus beef. The unique menu (printed on footballs) also includes grilled chicken breast, lamp chops, and, of course, grilled dolphin. The restaurant is open for dinner only.
  • Spectator’s - This sports-themed restaurant and cigar bar is cozy, with low ceilings, oak paneling, and green-leather booths. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer dramatic river and lake views. Spectators serves snacks, salads, and sandwiches, and is open most days for lunch and every night for dinner.
  • Waves - The lobby bar is a popular meeting spot after work, with comfy leather chairs beneath a mirrored ceiling that reflects ripples off the river. A light menu of bar food includes tuna melts and hamburgers. During spring and summer, a piano player entertains.
  • Riverside Café - This casual restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes fish and chips, pasta, chicken pot pie, and Caesar salad.
  • Esplanade Express - Open for lunch and early dinner during warm weather, this cafe spills out onto a sidewalk along the river. Guests flock to the outside tables for hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, and ice cream as well as drinks from the bar.
