Insider tip: The Old Water Tower, 3.5 blocks from the hotel, is often overlooked by visitors engaged in a Michigan Avenue shopping frenzy. Built in 1869, the Gothic-style structure resembles a tiny 13th-century castle. It was one of the few buildings to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.

Becca d’Oro - Becca d’Oro (Italian for “golden palate”) is the hotel’s lobby-level restaurant, which serves authentic Italian fare and an extensive list of Italian and French wines.
