Standard Room - These guestrooms offer one king bed or two double beds; rooms can accommodate a maximum of four guests. Rooms with king beds have sofa beds; all rooms have private balconies or patios. These rooms have 400 square feet of space, and have ocean or park views.
Two Bedroom Condo - These units offer one bedroom with one double bed and one twin bed, and a master bedroom with one king bed; rooms can accommodate a maximum of seven guests. These units have living rooms with sofa beds, fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers, ovens, stoves, microwaves, full-sized refrigerators, and all cooking utensils, three TVs, CD stereo systems, and two bathrooms with shower/tub combinations. These units offer 1,100 square feet of space, and have ocean or park views. Some units have a gas-burning fireplace in the living room.

Amenity highlights: All ages have been thought of at this resort. Adults 17 and older can use the peaceful, Olympic-sized swimming pool with an ocean view. Children and families can use the outdoor pool that features interactive water toys, plus an adjacent game room and activity center. Planned activities include such eclectic offerings as wine and jazz nights, beauty workshops, bubble gum-blowing contests, hula-hoop contests, and ping-pong tournaments.
Insider tip: Although the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is famous for its dazzling spring displays of ranunculus (a buttercup relative with showy, rose-like blooms) and other flowers, it also shelters an All-American Rose Selection (AARS) garden, only one of 130 AARS accredited public rose gardens in the nation.
