It's wise to get a curbside spot by late morning before the crowds arrive. Also, four blocks north of there, in front of the library, is a perfect spot to see the First Night Grand Procession on New Year’s Eve—a colorful outdoor parade with 1,000 artists.

Clio - This award-winning Parisian-style restaurant offers delicious entrées such as crispy braised organic chicken, sweet butter-basted Maine lobster, and California squab stuffed with foie gras. Turn left onto Commonwealth Ave. and merge into the right lane. The hotel will be on the right side after two blocks, just before the Massachusetts Ave. intersection.
